I have a problematic scalp, I have battled bouts of Eczema for as long as I can remember so I have always kept my eyes and ears open for a “miracle” product that will calm down itchiness and sensitivity. When I was browsing The Ordinary’s website (I am a big fan and it soothes me :p) I saw The Ordinary Multi-peptide Serum for hair density and I thought why the hell not?
I really like The Ordinary as a company because they are cruelty free and their products contain no fragrances (if you have sensitive skin you know what a bane fragrance can be) and are packed full of active ingredients. . . aka it is actually going to do something.
The ingredients are as follows:
The serum is an extremely watery consistency that will not weigh down fine or thin hair or make it oily. It is also colourless and odourless so if your skin is sensitive or you particularly like the smell of your hair products it will still work for you. I like to squirt one dropper full of product into my hand and use my fingertips to gently massage it into my head every evening before I go to sleep. It takes a bit of getting used to to apply a product that is so thin without dripping everywhere, but you will soon get the hang of it! I have been using this product for two months now and the 60 ml bottle of serum still has another weeks worth of product left, and for only £15.80 it is well worth the price!
So, you ask me does it actually work? And to that I have to say. . . I don’t know. I have only used this product for two months and have not yet noticed any regrowth or faster growth of my hair, BUT my scalp is soooooo comfortable. No itchiness, no flakiness, no tightness. . . it is HEAVEN. So for me this product is a win! In fact I have already repurchased it because the thought of running out of this product may just make me have a tantrum (okay, not really).
I give this product 4 out of 5 stars. (The 5th star is pending the hair growth results, I will check in and let you guys know how things are going on that front in a couple of months)
